The Confidence to Do, to Be
"Confidence is that feeling by which the mind embarks in great and honorable courses with a sure hope and trust in itself." (Cicero)

"If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours." (Henry David Thoreau)
The confidence to try, to do and to succeed is a worthy endeavor. The confidence to try and not let fear or doubt stifle us or lead us astray is an ongoing battle within our minds that we’ll encounter throughout our lives. The confidence to do something tends to get overridden by the worst case scenario our minds can conjure up in the moment, but more often than not it’s not as bad as we’ve imagined in our heads. To do is to act and sometimes taking the action even when we’re afraid overrides the fear and doubt and increases our confidence. It can still be hard, but it’s always worth it to keep moving forward, to keep trying no matter what. And oftentimes, taking the action (whether it turns out good or bad) brings more clarity to the situation.
